Opening a new ice cream store from scratch is a challenge in itself, but in order for The Scoop to become what was the vision of Elizabeth Demaree, it started with a major building renovation project. The planning process began nearly a year before opening day and with the help of designers, architects, builders, and planning personnel the transformation began. Sitting in the heart of the historic village of Zionsville, The Scoop is located right on the brick road that is Main Street, USA. No better place for an All American Ice Cream Shop in a Victorian home complete with a patriotic color scheme.
The century old home was completely gutted down to its framework and a spacious and invited wrap around porch was added. The interior project brought what was a tired old building into the technology age and all of the latest advancements for a retail ice cream establishment were installed. An outdoor patio and entertaining space has been added thatis beautifully landscaped and awaits you for a warm evening of outdoor entertainment and music.
We hope you enjoy the transformation of 305 South Main Street and look forward to your regular visits to meet with friends and enjoy a warm cup of coffee or a velvety ice cream treat!
